Denver Public Restrooms

The City and County of Denver is working to address a growing need for publicly-accessible restrooms and to evaluate options for providing restrooms in high-use, high traffic locations. Accessible public restrooms can benefit public health and the environment, and can even enhance people’s mobility options.

  • Union Station is closed from 12:30am-4am

Pilot Project

Denver is taking a three-tiered approach as part of its public restroom pilot initiative:

  • Tier 1: Activate existing public restroom facilities in downtown and surrounding neighborhoods and parks
  • Tier 2: Evaluate locations for a pilot program utilizing mobile restroom facilities
  • Tier 3: Determine best location for placement of a fixed restroom facility
