Denver Releases Plan to Double Recycling and Composting The City and County of Denver released its 2022 update to the Solid Waste Master Plan for the city. The primary vision of this plan is to divert 50% of all solid waste away from the landfill and to recycling or composting by 2027 and to increase that rate to 70% by 2032.
Denver Launches 16th Street Mall Renovation Denver’s 16th Street Mall is open for business, and a project to breathe new life into the iconic pedestrian destination is now underway. Today, Mayor Michael B. Hancock gathered with downtown residents and businesses to officially launch the 16th Street Mall Project.
