Indie/Visible Program - Marketing Support for Small Businesses

The Indie/Visible program works, free of cost, with small, independent business owners to develop their online marketing; from training on marketing using social media to professional video and photography services, business owners can gain both marketing skills and professional services to help them reach customers online. 

 

Overview

Whether your business has no online presence at all or you wish your online marketing were more effective but aren't sure how to get there, Indie/Visible can help you.

In 2022, Denver's Economic Development & Opportunity (DEDO) will offer this 8-week course to a select group of businesses. The selected cohort will receive one-on-one training, support, and networking. Successful program graduates will have an opportunity to receive further free professional video, photography, and consulting services. 

Program Cohort Requirements

Once the application process is complete and selected businesses are announced, they will: 

  • Dedicate 3-4 hours per week to this program from September 12 through November 11, 2022  
  • Follow an online course starting September 12 and completing weekly assignments that build social media presence and skills.
  • Join weekly, group sessions of one hour that will increase training and offer networking opportunities – Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. or Fridays from 9-10 a.m. 
  • Participate in focus meetings with marketing and creative professionals that will help business owners refine their new skills and plans.
  • Take part in a competitive process within the course to receive free professional video, photography, and extended marketing services. Five business owners will be selected.

Eligibility

  • This program is absolutely free to the businesses selected to participate.
  • The only criteria to apply is to be a small, locally owned businesses operating within the City and County of Denver
  • Priority will be given to businesses located within the priority neighborhoods as identified by DEDO:
    - East Colfax
    - Elyria-Swansea
    - Globeville
    - Montbello
    - Northeast Park Hill 
    - Sun Valley 
    - Valverde 
    - Villa Park 
    - West Colfax, or 
    - Westwood
