Business Navigators

The Business Navigator program focuses on outreach efforts to Denver’s hardest to reach communities with navigators who will provide one-on-one support for small businesses. 

Overview

Denver Economic Development & Opportunity is partnering with the Colorado Center on Law and Policy and several other local nonprofits to offer support to small businesses in navigating the many funding opportunities, programs and services available in the City and County of Denver.

The Business Navigator program is a FREE program that connects one-on-one with small business owners operating in the Neighborhood Equity and Stabilization (NEST) priority neighborhoods and offers customized guidance in identifying and contacting appropriate resources available from the City and County of Denver and/or other institutions. 

To qualify, small businesses must be located in NEST Priority Neighborhoods: Athmar Park, Barnum, Barnum West, Clayton, College View, East Colfax, Elyria Swansea, Globeville, Kennedy, Lincoln Park, Mar Lee, Montbello, Ruby Hill, Sun Valley, Valverde, Villa Park, Westwood, and Windsor.

Business Navigators provide a wide range of programs and free services including one-on-one support, workshops, and boot camp style training formats. Topics include:

  • Business Planning
  • Navigating city programs to stabilize or expand your businesses
  • Marketing & social media
  • Preparing your business for grants and loans
  • Technical assistance
