Technology Employment in Colorado Partnership (TECP)

For over a decade, TECP has been a driving force in tech workforce development—championing both seasoned professionals and those newly exploring careers in the technology sector. The program now reaches across the state, serving individuals who are unemployed or underemployed and have 1+ years of experience or allowable credentials in IT or advanced manufacturing.

Run out of the City and County of Denver's Workforce Development Division TECP helps jobseekers launch careers in aerospace, cybersecurity, and information technology. TECP provides financial support for training, hands-on experience, and support in job search for high-growth, high-wage tech roles after training completion.

Denver Workforce Development (DWD) has also been awarded $2.4M from the Economic Development Administration's (EDA) Good Jobs Challenge funding to support TECP Space programming. The project will bring together industry, education and workforce organizations to train Coloradans for in-demand aerospace jobs.

What TECP offers:

Jobseekers looking to be part of this program must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Unemployed and underemployed individuals with a passion and aptitude for a career in the selected sectors.
• Experienced workers unemployed or underemployed who have at least 1 year of work experience or hold recognized credentials in IT or advanced manufacturing.
• 17-year-olds and up, not currently enrolled in a school system with a HS Diploma or equivalent.

   1. Once you have created your Connecting Colorado account, email us at TECP@denvergov.org informing us and share what career pathway you are interested in pursuing. A resume and information on previous experience is appreciated to help determine eligibility. Afterwards, you will be connected with a case manager who will support you moving forward.

What is TECP?

Who is eligible to participate in TECP?

Depending on your career goals and regional offerings, TECP may provide or connect you with credentials such as:

• CompTIA, Network+, Security+
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) credentials
• And many others tied to employer needs

Can TECP help me find a job after training?
Yes! TECP includes intensive job search support and employer connections through your workforce center. Many participants are placed into internships, on-the-job training, or full-time employment after completing training.

Are supportive services available?
Yes, TECP can provide support for barriers to employment, such as help with transportation, work equipment, childcare, or other needs based on individual eligibility.

Can employers participate in TECP?
