Effective 5/11/2020, the Denver Fire Department Fire Prevention Division Office will be open to the public and conducting business with external customers by appointment ONLY. Please call 720-913-3474 to schedule an appointment between 7 am and 3 pm.

As per City guidelines, beginning Wednesday May 6, 2020, all City and County of Denver mandated COVID-19 related precautions will be observed to include mandatory face coverings and 6-foot social distancing.

Please utilize E-Permits - Accela Citizen Access for permit submittals and payment of fees:

DFD Drive By Requests

All "Drive-by" requests received by the Denver Fire Department Operations Division and the Community Outreach Team will be denied due to the overwhelming response to COVID-19. Thank you for your understanding. 

 When to contact 9-1-1

Call 911 if you are:

  • Having difficulty breathing or are choking
  • Having an allergic reaction
  • Having symptoms of a heart attack or stroke
  • Are experiencing feelings of confusion, dizziness, or are disoriented
  • Having difficulty speaking, walking, or seeing
  • Have sudden severe pain

Do NOT call 911 if you:

  • Want information about COVID-19
  • Need a ride to the doctor's office
  • want to get tested
  • have mild symptoms
