The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services team works to ensure barrier-free communication access across all City and County of Denver agencies, creating equitable access through accommodation, education, engagement, and collaboration.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Deaf and hard of hearing individuals have the right to effective communication and equal access to all government programs, services and events. This may include interpreters, CART, or assistive listening devices (ALD) for sound amplification. We offer no-cost sign language interpreters and real-time captioning (CART). Requests should be made at least three (3) business days in advance, though we do our best to fulfill last-minute needs.
