Renaming Denver Parks

In June 2020, amidst the racial reckoning occurring nationwide, the Denver Agency for Human Rights and Community Partnerships was tasked with reviewing the names of every city asset and recommending which assets should be considered for renaming.

Denver Days

Mayor Michael B. Hancock envisioned a city where neighbors not only knew their neighbors but as a result felt safer and more connected to the communities they call home so he created Denver Days.

Denver's Sister Cities International

Denver has 10 Sister Cities around the world. These global friendships include cultural, educational and humanitarian initiatives, along with student/community exchanges, lectures and various cultural gatherings.

Mayor's Diversity & Inclusion Awards

Every year, each of the Agency for Human Rights & Community Partnerships commissions honor individuals and organizations who stand firmly for the ideals of inclusion, acceptance, and opportunity with a Mayor's Diversity & Inclusion Award.

Monte Pascoe Award

The Monte Pascoe Civic Leadership Award has been presented annually since 2007 to a member of the community who exemplifies the civic leadership qualities demonstrated by Monte Pascoe.
