Our employees may choose from three separate providers: Denver Health Medical Plan, Kaiser Permanente or United Healthcare.

What's the difference between a high-deductible health plan and a deductible HMO plan?
A high-deductible health plan (HDHP) has no copays, you pay the full cost of services until you meet your annual deductible. The deductible HMO has some copays (prescriptions, office visits) and a lower deductible to meet. HMO has no annual deductible and you pay a set copay for all in-network services.

What services are covered under each of the plans?
The following summaries give a brief description of services:

Are your employees done paying for in-network services once they’ve met their annual out-of-pocket maximum, including prescription costs?
Yes, their insurance provider will pay 100% of any services/prescription for the rest of the calendar year once their out-of-pocket is met.

On-Demand Health Care - Dispatch Health

Our employees and dependents in any of the medical plans can avoid unnecessary expenses and trips to the ER by using DispatchHealth. Their medical teams are equipped with all the tools necessary to provide advanced medical care in the comfort of home, workplace or location of need.  Get the right care when you need it.

Our health plans allow members access to convenient alternatives to in-person doctor visits. Denver Health Medical Plan offers members a 24-Hour NurseLine to speak to a nurse or physician. Kaiser Permanente offers members several care option alternatives to traditional medical appointments. UnitedHealthcare members can use Virtual Visit with a doctor or behavioral health professional.
