Mayor’s Park $5 Summer Pilot Program

Denver extends its immense gratitude to SpotHero, which shares our desire to make parking inexpensive and easy for residents and visitors alike. The city also shares its appreciation to parking partners such as Metropolis, Parkwell, LAZ Parking, Nationwide Parking, VPNE, PMC, and Time Park for their collaboration.

The Mayor's Park $5 initiative offers reduced parking rates downtown all day Monday and Friday as well as every weeknight and during the weekends. The program will launch on June 29 and run through September 30.

Lower and Upper Downtown

• Spots will be located between 14th and 20th streets and Wazee and Broadway

Partnering with SpotHero, Denver is offering reduced parking rates downtown during Mondays, Fridays, nights, and weekends.

SpotHero is a digital marketplace that lets drivers find and reserve parking spaces in advance through its app or website.

• It works by partnering with garages and lots to show real‑time availability and pricing, allowing users to book and pay before they arrive.
• Customers will simply go to SpotHero, online or on the app, to find and purchase a discounted, downtown parking spot during the select days and times.

Monday and Friday parking starting at $5 

• Increase in cost after 8 hours

$5 parking rate for evenings starting at 4pm

• Monday - Fridays

$5 parking rate on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for up to 12 hours

• $10 for 24 hours

The city is not using any public dollars to support this initiative (other than staff time).

SpotHero and our parking partners are acting as great corporate partners to support folks looking to work, visit, and play in downtown Denver this summer. These vendors benefit from this program because previous unused or underutilized spaces will now be filled with folks commuting and experiencing downtown Denver.

Provide downtown workers and visitors with a more affordable, accessible way to park in the heart of Denver.

For workers, the pilot makes it easier to come into the office – especially on Mondays and Fridays – by offering more budget-friendly daily parking options.

For visitors, the pilot encourages trips into Denver's vibrant downtown, including the refreshed 16th Street, world-class dining, and our museums and entertainment venues.

SpotHero typically collects a $0.99 consumer fee for each purchase. We have partnered with SpotHero to offset that fee through a promo code. Simply enter the current promo code at check out and the $0.99 consumer fee will be removed from your final purchase.

Promo codes will update every two weeks so be on the lookout on Denver's and SpotHero's social media pages and websites for update codes. As of August 24, the current promo code is PARKINGFOR5.
