Denver is activating additional overnight shelter capacity from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9.

Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant (PDM)

FEMA provides Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Program grants to help plan and direct hazard mitigation projects before a disaster. Funding these plans and projects reduces overall risk to the population and structures. Funded projects also reduce the need for federal funding in actual disasters. The City and County of Denver received its PDM grant in 2019 and will complete the Hazard Mitigation Plan for the Denver in 2022.
