The GuidanceResources® EAP provides support, resources and information for personal and work-life issues. GuidanceResources is city sponsored, confidential and provided at no charge to employees and their dependents – and they will even call therapists to set up your appointment for you!Staff and their families are eligible for six free counseling sessions per year per incident through GuidanceResources.

Your GuidanceResources EAP services include:

Confidential Counseling

Short-term counseling services for employees and their dependents. Handle concerns, before they become major issues. Call anytime for up to six free in-person counseling sessions. Set up sessions for:

  • Marital relationship and family problems
  • Stress, anxiety and depression
  • Grief and loss
  • Job pressures
  • Substance abuse

Financial Information

Get answers to your questions from Certified Financial Planners (CPAs) and other financial experts about:

  • Budgeting
  • Debt management
  • Tax issues and
  • Other money concerns.

Work-Life Solutions

The work-life specialists can do the research for you and provide qualified referrals. Let a specialist help with:

  • Resources for moving
  • Pet care
  • College planning
  • Home repair
  • Buying a car
  • Planning an event
  • Selling a house and more.

Child & Elder Care Solutions

A consultant can find licensed, reputable and responsible child and elder care provider that fits your needs and budget. Get advice on the different types of care, checklists, tips and resources to help you make the best decisions that are right for your family.

Legal Support

Talk to a licensed attorney about divorce, custody, adoption, real estate, debt and bankruptcy, landlord/tenant issues, civil and criminal actions and more. If you need representation, GuidanceResources will refer you to a qualified attorney for a free 30-minute consultation and a 25 percent reduction in customary legal fees.

GuidanceResources® Online

Go online to access timely, expert information on thousands of topics, including relationships, work, school, children, wellness, legal, financial and free time. You can search for qualified child and elder care, attorneys and financial planners as well as ask questions, take self-assessments and more.

GuidanceResources is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
There are two ways to access your GuidanceResources EAP benefits:

    You’ll speak to a counseling professional who will listen to your concerns and can guide you to the appropriate services you require.
    24/7 appointment assistance on every call/chat
    If appointment is not booked during your initial call, GuidanceConsultant (GC) will offer to secure an appointment with recommended provider and confirm it for you 24-48 hours after initial call
