Official Candidate List for April 4 Municipal Election
DENVER – The Office of the Denver Clerk and Recorder confirmed the official list of candidates who will appear on the ballot for the April 4 Municipal Election. Candidates appearing on the ballot returned the minimum number of signed petitions from verifiable Denver residents for their respective offices. Candidates not appearing on the ballot have until 15 days before the election to submit their intention to run as write-in candidates. List included below.
The Office will establish the order in which candidates will appear on the ballot on February 7, 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Denver Elections Division building. In alphabetical order, candidates will draw the number which they will appear on the ballot, selected by lottery.
Candidates who have qualified for the ballot and have qualified to receive matched donations from the Fair Elections Fund are required by law to attend the debates sanctioned by the Office of the Clerk and Recorder. Sanctioned debates are hosted by community groups and media outlets during a period outlined in law. The debate schedule has been made available online here. The Office has begun recruiting debate sponsors for the anticipated runoff election as well; applications are available using the same link.
Three ballot measures have also been put forward for the municipal ballot:
- Referred Measure 2M: Board of Adjustment
- Referred Measure 2N: City zoning authority
- Referred Measure 2O: Park Hill Conservation Easement
The public comment period for the measures closes at 11:59 p.m. on February 3. Submissions are received electronically on the Clerk & Recorder website.
Note: The individuals listed in alphabetical order below have been certified to the ballot for the April 4, 2023 General Municipal Election; ballot order will be determined on February 7.
