June 2022 Primary Election

The June 28, 2022 Primary Election allows Democratic, Republican and Unaffiliated voters to choose which candidates from each major party will advance to the 2022 November General Election. Learn how to participate, research your options, and get answers to frequently asked questions.

Ballots begin mailing June 6
Last day to vote: June 28 by 7 p.m.

Note: Voters who are affiliated with a political party must change or withdraw their affiliation by June 6 if they wish to vote in a different party's primary election.

How to Vote

Step 1.Check your registration 

Are you registered to vote? Is your name, address and political affiliation current? Double-check your registration at GoVoteColorado.gov.

Step 2.Track your ballot

Sign up for BallotTrax to receive email or text notifications about your ballot, including when it’s on its way to you and when it has been received and accepted for counting.

Step 3.Research your ballot

Step 4.Make a plan to vote

You have options:

At home 

If your registration is current, you'll automatically receive a ballot in the mail up to 22 days before the last day to vote. Send your ballot back by mail or return it to one of our 24-hour ballot drop-off boxes located throughout the city. If you need a new ballot, use our curbside ballot pick-up service or visit a vote center for a replacement. Accessible ballots will be available upon request.

Ballots must be received by the Denver Elections Division by 7 p.m. on the last day to vote, June 28 (Election Day). If you choose to return your ballot by mail, send it back no later than 8 days before the last day to vote.

In person

Vote centers are located throughout Denver for those who wish to cast their ballot in person. Make a plan to vote early to avoid a wait. Voters must be in line to vote by 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Where to Vote

The Denver Elections Division operates 42 ballot drop-off boxes throughout the city, available 24 hours, seven days a week during the election. In addition to drop boxes, voters can choose to vote in person or return their ballots at a number of vote centers and drive-throughs. Denver also deploys two mobile voting units during elections to increase voter access. See below for our full list of voting locations (interactive map coming soon).
