Accessible Parking Program

The Accessible Program’s ability to enforce accessible parking laws has been instrumental in helping Denver maintain its high standard of accessibility, compliance, and quality of life.  This enhances Denver’s recognition as being one of the most accessible cities in the country.

In 1993 Denver initiated the Accessible Parking Program (APP). For over 20 years APP has been an integral part of the City’s efforts to protect the rights of people with disabilities and older adults.

The Accessible Parking Program is a volunteer-based program committed to the ideal of cooperation and partnership within the community to enhance the Denver Right of Way Enforcement (ROWE) and the Denver Police Department (DPD) parking programs.  The program is committed to maintaining Denver’s high standard of accessibility, compliance through enforcement and education of parking for persons with mobility impairments, and quality of life. This program consists of dedicated volunteers, who give their time and talents to enforce parking for persons with mobility impairments within the City of Denver.
