Tired from the week and need a place to escape and have some fun? On Friday evenings the recreation center is yours! Join Denver Parks and Recreation for our Night Moves program where you can unwind and be yourself! You can socialize, eat food, join an activity, and develop important life skills.

Night Moves provides teens a safe space to enjoy a variety of sports, wellness, arts, and cultural activities. Join us on Friday nights beginning in June from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at one of our five locations:

Athmar Recreation Center – June 3 – December 30, 2022

Aztlan Recreation Center – June 10 – December 30, 2022

La Alma Recreation Center – TBD

Montbello Recreation Center – June 3 – December 30, 2022

St Charles Recreation Center – June 3 – December 30, 2022

We are partnering with the following organizations to increase the diversity in activities:

New Cottage Arts believes in transforming lives through engagement in the arts. We provide year-round group classes, private lessons, workshops, and performances for all community members.
Classes include: piano, guitar, strings, voice, DJing, digital music production, student ensembles including jazz ensemble and rock band, all levels of visual art classes in painting, drawing, portraits, and mural design.
New Cottage Arts believes in bringing the arts to everyone, and is excited to be partnering with Denver Parks and Recreation for Night Moves.

Struggle of Love Foundation (SOLF) is a 501c3 organization located in the Far Northeast, Montbello / Green Valley community. SOLF was created to provide community awareness, involvement, educational, and enrichment activities for at-risk children and youth. SOLF addresses academic gaps, youth mental health, youth violence prevention, gang intervention, and promotes healthy lifestyles. Our goal is to give back to the community in areas of struggle  |  “Showing Our Love to Save Our Lives.”

Summer in the Parks Camps

Get ready for a summer filled with fun, memorable, and exciting opportunities! Your child will explore a variety of recreational activities through hands-on projects and experiences. Sign up your child today for a summer they won't forget.  Field trips and open swim will be offered this summer.  This program will not meet on 7/4/22 in observance of the 4th of July holiday. We will follow current childcare licensed COVID guidelines as they become available.

Family Cooking

Enjoy a few evenings learning to cook as a family.  All cooking ingredients and supplies are provided.  If you have any dietary restrictions, please email Social.Enrichment.Recreation@denvergov.org.  Youth and adult must register together.  Registration will close 5 business days prior to the program.

Out of School Day programming offers a safe place for kids to have fun participating in games, sports, and arts and crafts.  Please bring a lunch and wear closed toe shoes.  Snack will be provided – please provide a snack if your child has any food allergies.  If your child needs any accommodations, please contact us at least 10 business days before the start of program.
