Denver Arbor Day 2025

Join Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) and other community partners for an Arbor Day celebration! Connect with local organizations dedicated to sustainability, forestry, and conservation while learning how to protect and expand Denver’s urban forest. Discover how you can support a greener future and make a positive impact in your community by helping grow Denver’s tree canopy!

• Date & Time: Saturday, April 19 | 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Where: City Park; meadow northeast of Ferril Lake and south of Denver Zoo (map below)

What to Expect:

• Meet the Experts: Engage with representatives from the Denver’s Office of the City Forester, Office of Climate Action, Sustainability & Resiliency (CASR), Colorado State Forest Service, Denver Mountain Parks & Wildlife Team, Denver Water Quality, and The Park People.
• Tree Seedling Giveaway: Take home a young tree and help grow Denver’s tree canopy! Choose from Austrian Pine, Colorado Blue Spruce, or White Fir (limited supply, available first come, first served).
• Resource Booths & Activities: Learn about urban forestry, water conservation, wildlife, and more!
• Raffle prizes such as: Denver Zoo & Denver Art Museum tickets, Safeway gift cards, Forestry-themed gear, and Ace Hardware gift cards and garden hoses to help you water your trees!
