Week of August 19, 2024: Fencing went up at Huston Lake Park around the site of the new playground. During playground construction, some of the connecting walkways will be closed on occasion. Anticipated opening is late 2025.
Huston Lake Park is a community park in the Athmar Park neighborhood with a wide variety of amenities. In 2018, the tennis and pickleball courts were renovated. The next phase of improvements has been funded to redesign the playground and replace the asphalt walking loop on the west side. Improvements include a new playground, walks with ADA improvements, and irrigation upgrades.
