Downtown Park Projects

Completed in 2017, The Outdoor Downtown is a 20-year vision plan to provide the City of Denver with a visionary and actionable list of policies, programs, and projects that will make Downtown's parks and public spaces world-class destinations. This vision is being implemented through various projects and programs in the downtown area:

Civic Center Next 100

This project focuses on the Greek Theater, Central Promenade and South Plaza of Civic Center Park. Improvements will facilitate daily park use and activation, along with the same cultural events, festivals, and First Amendment rallies the park has hosted for more than 100 years.

La Alma-Lincoln Park Vision Plan

Following the finalization of a Vision Plan in 2023, its implementation began with a community engagement process to shape design options which are underway as of fall 2025. The Vision Plan illustrates the community's vision with new features and enhanced safety.

Skyline Park Improvements

Located between 15th and 18th Streets along Arapahoe Street, Skyline Park is at the heart of Denver’s downtown. This project will adapt this critical park space for a new era of more accessible and vibrant experiences for residents, workers, students, and visitors.
