Barnum Recreation Center

Denver Recreation Centers are closed on city-observed holidays. Pools and centers can close unexpectedly due to power outages or other unforeseen maintenance issues. Unexpected closures typically last several hours or less and may not be posted online. To verify schedules and hours of operation, please call the center directly.

Barnum Recreation Center Construction | Beginning March 27, 2023, Barnum Recreation Center will have limited access while construction on center upgrades is underway. During this time, some areas of the center will be closed and alternate entry points will be in place. Construction is anticipated to last through May 30. Please note, registered and paid activities are scheduled to take place while the center is under construction, but may be impacted by construction closures as needed, with limited notice.

Barnum is a Neighborhood Level recreation center located in the southwest area off of Federal Blvd and Highway 6. This facility features weight and cardio equipment, a gymnasium, and a splash area in the park. This center is open to residents Monday-Saturday.

Barnum Recreation Center also offers a free meal program for youth, along with free membership for youth through the MY Denver Card program. View the facility photo gallery.
