Denver Parks and Recreation offers 6 Event Facilities located within various parks across the Denver Metro area that are available to the community to rent for special events. Whether it is a wedding, shower, graduation, or other private event, you can find a perfect setting for the occasion at one of the City’s treasured Event Facilities.

Below, you can find information on the different Facilities, how to schedule a tour, and make an online reservation. Please contact the Parks Permit Office at 720.913.0700 (press 6) or email park.permits@denvergov.org with questions.

Reservation Process

  • To view a calendar of availability and make a reservation request, click the "Get Started" button on this page
  • All reservation requests are accepted online. Requests are NOT accepted by email at any time and no paper application is available to complete. Read and download online reservation instructions
  • A $210 nonrefundable deposit to secure your reservation will be due at the time of application. This deposit is applied towards your total permit fee
  • Once your reservation request has been reviewed, you will be contacted within three (3) business days by the Events Coordinator with a confirmation or rejection

Permit Requirements

The following requirements must be met no later than 21 calendar days prior to your event date. More information will be emailed after making a reservation request.

  3. Walkthrough: Permit holder must complete an in-person walkthrough with an Event Facilitator (information below)

  4. Alcohol: Alcohol may be served. Any alcohol being served requires a certified bartender who is not a guest of the event.

    If selling alcohol: Liquor Liability is required and a Special Event Liquor Permit must be acquired from Denver Dept of Excise and Licenses

Open House Tours & Walkthroughs

Event Facility Tours:

Free tours are available for those who wish to see the event facility and ask questions before submitting a reservation application. Tours are open house style, and you may arrive at any point within the listed timeframe. Family and friends are welcome to attend but only person needs to register. Event Facility Walkthroughs:

A walkthrough is a final logistics meeting for permit holders who already booked an Event Facility. This meeting is a requirement to obtain your approved permit. Vendors, family, and friends are welcome to attend. Only one walkthrough is allowed per event, and we suggest attending 30-45 days before the event. Tour and walkthrough appointments are posted on the 25th of the current month for the following month. Dates listed online may be out of chronological order.

Special Notes

  • You must be 18 or older to reserve an Event Facility
  • Cheesman Park Pavilion is a Special Occasion site, not an Event Facility. Find information on a Special Occasion park permits.

2025 Event Facility Information

2025 Event Facility Reservations will be accepted online beginning at 8:00am, November 1, 2024 (MDT)

  1. What is available for reservation for 2025 on November 1, 2024?
    • Central Park Pavilion, City Park Pavilion, Washington Park Boathouse
    • Chief Hosa Lodge, Fleming Mansion and Montclair Civic Building are already accepting 2025 reservation requests, on a 365 day rolling basis
    • PLEASE NOTE: Cheesman Park Pavilion is not an indoor Event Facility. Please see our Public Event/Special Occasion page for information on how to apply
  2. What is the process on November 1?
    • Reservation requests are made online, HERE, beginning at 8:00am (MDT)
      • Applicants must have an activated customer account to make a reservation. We highly encourage you to set up and activate your account up prior to November 1
    • It is recommended you review the Rules and Regulations prior to booking
    • Upon booking, you will pay a nonrefundable $210 deposit
    • Successfully completing the payment for the $210 deposit will hold the date for you temporarily until it is confirmed via email - you will receive a confirmation email within 2 business days with your preliminary permit and next steps
    • Important: do not pay multiple deposits for multiple dates unless you plan to utilize all dates, as deposits are nontransferable and nonrefundable
