Denver – Tuesday, May 4, 2021 – The Denver Police Department today arrested Cain Gallardo, (DOB 9/13/1999) for Investigation of First-Degree Murder in connection with the death of 9-month-old Gianna Rosales.
Gianna Rosales was taken to a local hospital on August 3, 2020, for evaluation of sustained injuries, and tragically, she was pronounced deceased the following day. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner determined the cause of Gianna’s death was blunt force injuries.
The Denver Police Department’s Homicide Unit extensively investigated this case, in partnership with the Denver Medical Examiner’s Office, to determine how Gianna sustained the trauma, and the investigation resulted in today’s arrest. Cain Gallardo was the boyfriend of Gianna’s mother.
The arrest affidavit is currently sealed and not available for release.
