Data and Evaluation
Understanding food insecurity starts with listening. DDPHE uses data and evaluation to identify food access challenges, elevate community experiences and guide the policies and funding strategies that build a stronger, more equitable food system for all Denver residents.
Our data & evaluation work includes:
- Food insecurity assessments: Tracking how and where Denver residents experience barriers to accessing healthy food
- GIS mapping and spatial analysis: Visualizing food access gaps across Denver’s neighborhoods
- Community engagement findings: Elevating resident voices to inform solutions
- Program evaluation: Measuring what’s working and where more can be done
- Reports & Publications: Sharing findings on food access, funding gaps and policy progress
These tools help us understand community needs, measure our progress and work toward real, lasting change.
You can learn more by browsing reports, interactive maps, StoryMaps and other resources that document Denver's food insecurity landscape and the progress we're making toward a more equitable food system.
