Housing Assistance

Limited short-term assistance for temporary or transitional housing. 

Case Management programs can connect eligible people with HIV (PWH) to housing assistance. 

  • The HOPE Program is a drop-in day shelter in Denver, Colorado that provides a safe, welcoming space for people who are experiencing homelessness and are living with HIV. Open from Monday through Friday, 8am – 3pm. Please call 303.832.3354 for more information. 
  • Resident Resources through the City and County of Denver 
  • The Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program provides housing assistance and related supportive services for low-income PWH and their families. A case manager can connect eligible PWH to HOPWA services.  

Emergency Financial Assistance 

Limited, one-time or short-term payments to help pay for essential utilities, HIV-related medication assistance, food and essential household supplies, transportation, medical premiums, medical copayments, pharmacy copayments, optical copayments, prescription eyewear, ID cards, background checks, housing-related application fees, and child care services.  

Case Management programs can connect eligible PWH with emergency financial assistance. 


Food Banks 

Access to delicious and nutritious food is available through the Colorado Health Network and Vivent Health. Connect with a case manager for more information.
