Denver Utilities Online

Denver expanded solid waste services in 2023 with a new fee based on trash cart size. Weekly recycling and invoicing began in January and compost service will rollout starting in summer 2023. Rebates are available based on income and household size.

Use Denver Utilities Online to manage your account information for solid waste services. 

  • Pay online
  • Manage your carts: request cart size changes and repairs
  • Sign up for paperless billing and autopay
  • Submit billing questions online once you receive an invoice
  • Make service requests and see your request history

Access Your Account

Step 1.Set up your account

Required information:

  • Parcel ID
  • Account number
  • An email address

Parcel ID and account number are provided in a letter and in your invoice.

Step 2.Sign Up Now

  • If this is your first visit, click the Sign Up Now link. Enter your email address to receive a verification code.
  • After verifying your email, click Continue to enter your name and select a password, then click Create.

Step 3.Log In

  • Enter your email address and password to sign in.
  • When creating an account, add your mailing address, parcel ID and account number.

Account Information

You must have your parcel ID and account number to create an account or log in to Denver Utilities Online. Look for this information on your invoice.

You must create an account to sign up for paperless billing or pay online. You will also be able to submit cart size requests, report missed collections and view your past requests.


 

Cart Requests

Submit cart requests through your Denver Utilities Online account. You will be able to track the status of your request through your account.

 

If you haven't created an account, you can also submit your request online: 

  • Report an Issue
  • Select Trash/Recycle/Compost (Issue) 
  • Select Upsize/Downsize and scroll down to What size cart do you need to select the new size. If additional comments are required, enter your collection location (such as "curb" or "alley").
  • Submit your service address in the next screen.
  • If you create a denvergov account, you can also log in to check the status of this request.

Do not submit multiple requests for the same issue.

Billing Questions?

Submit questions about your invoice, billing amount or payments through your Denver Utilities Online account. 
After you log in, select Submit a Billing Question from the I Want to… menu on the left.

 

Instant Rebates Available

If you need help paying your bill, financial assistance is available! Denver is one of only a few cities in the United States to provide a discount on waste services for low-income households. Residents are eligible for 50-100% off their bill based on household income and the number of people in the home.  Visit the instant rebate webpage to sign up.
