Scammers are impersonating Denver Sheriff Department (DSD) deputies to steal your money. DSD deputies will never call you to demand money. Furthermore, if you are notified that someone you know is in a Denver jail, and the caller insists you must send funds to secure their release, it is a scam. If you receive a suspicious call claiming you owe fines, have an active warrant, or need to bail someone out of jail, hang up immediately and report it to local law enforcement at (720) 913-2000.
The Denver Sheriff Department is aware of an ongoing outage affecting our persons-in-custody communication systems. We understand the importance of this service and are actively working with our vendor to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Want to schedule a visit at one of our facilities? Video visitations – on-site or remote – must be scheduled through Securus. You can learn how to do this by following the steps below.
Professional visitors and lawyers may learn more about seeking access to DSD facilities on the Facility Access Requests webpage.
