Supervisor Assessment No Longer Required in Hiring
Beginning Friday, April 1, 2022, the city will no longer require the supervisor assessment for first-line supervisor job applicants. Candidates’ past assessment scores will not be considered on future applications. Starting Friday, April 1, 2022, while no longer a requirement, hiring managers may choose to use the supervisor assessment as an optional tool to help assess candidates’ strengths. Refer to the Candidate Q&A(PDF, 86KB) for more information.

The city strives to hire and promote the most qualified candidates for the jobs that we perform to serve the residents of Denver. Some positions with the city require the completion of an online assessment or test as part of the recruitment process. Assessments and tests provide objective data on how likely a candidate is to be successful in a particular role compared to other candidates without the influence of unconscious bias, creating an even playing ground for everyone to be able to demonstrate their potential in the same way. If an assessment or test is required for the position, you will be notified via email.
