Care Hours – The City’s FMLA Benefit

Care Hours are our enhanced version of Family Medical Leave. Care Hours provide all limited and unlimited employees who work more than 20 hours per week with up to 320 hours of paid leave that runs concurrently with an approved Family Medical Leave (FMLA). Care Hours provide better benefits to most city employees and do not require employees to pay into any fund. Care Hours can be used for medically qualifying self-care or care of family members, including children, partner/spouse, parents, or partner’s/spouse’s parents.

Denver Good Deeds

We all know giving back feels good, so why not get paid while you’re doing it? Denver Good Deeds is our employee volunteer program that allows eligible employees to use paid time to volunteer for one eight-hour day or two four-hour periods each calendar year. Feed your soul while supporting those who need it most. Check out Denver Good Deeds on the Denver Good Deeds page.
