We are growing our team! Denver’s Office of Climate Action, Sustainability, and Resiliency (CASR) works to enable a sustainable, resilient, climate-safe future for all of Denver in collaboration with fellow departments, other units of government, and community partners. We lead the development of innovative programs, policy, and community-based services. CASR ensures that our goals are aligned with current climate science, promotes the role that climate action and sustainability play in strengthening Denver's economic vitality and a prosperous future for all, and embraces equity as a value and practice in all its work. CASR is responsible for managing the Climate Protection Fund (CPF), which will disburse $35M annually for climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience initiatives. Engaging our business community is critical to the work of CASR. Certifiably Green Denver (CGD) is a well-established program that provides free technical assistance to businesses and special events in five areas: business management practices, energy efficiency, transportation, waste and water. To ensure businesses are successful in advancing climate action through activities that are in alignment with the City and County of Denver’s goals, we are seeking a Certifiably Green Denver Administrator to lead this work. This position will work to increase Denver’s roster of CGD businesses, with an emphasis on small and minority- or women-owned businesses, and businesses located in and serving Denver’s NEST communities, guiding them through the process of certification and offering consultation on best practices. The CGD Administrator will also engage current and prospective CGD businesses with ongoing opportunities to network, further their commitment to sustainability and pursue climate action.
