With the Delta variant surging, Denver has issued new public health orders requiring pre-K through 12th-grade students to wear masks at school and requiring city employees and some private-sector workers in high-risk settings to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (AFR) is prepared in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (USGAAP) and is audited by a firm of licensed certified public accountants.
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the year ended December 31, 2019. The Certificate of Achievement is a national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government financial reports. The City and County of Denver has received the Certificate of Achievement award for 39 consecutive years.
