Management and enforcement of the Conveyance Inspections Program within the City and County of Denver is under the responsibility of Denver Fire Department Fire Prevention Division.  This responsibility includes meeting State of Colorado mandates to assure that all conveyances meet or exceed minimum safety standards.

The Fire Prevention Division will assure these standards by providing organized procedures for the reviewing of plans and specifications, field checking new conveyances, performing inspections of all types of conveyances.

Step 1.Create an Account 

Denver’s e-permit system, Accela Citizen Access, is the public user’s means of submitting applications and tracking their progress, as well as monitoring permit activity and renewals. In order for a public user to access e-permits, they must first register for an account.

On the home page, click on Register for an account. 

If you already have an account, please proceed to the next step.

  • Make sure to enable pop-up windows.

Step 2.Log In & Submit an Application

Once you have logged in to the system, click on CONVEYANCE in the top right hand corner. 

Choose Create an Application. (If you have other applications already in progress, you can also choose Search Applications).

Accept the disclaimer and click to Continue Application. 

Step 3.Complete Application and Submit 

Once you have filled out all required information and reviewed for accuracy you will submit the application for review. 

Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. 

Once reviewed and approved, fees will be assessed and you will be notified via email with instructions to pay. 

Step 4.Pay Fees and Obtain Records

Once fees have been paid you will receive a copy of your record documents via attachment to your email. 

Step 5.Renewal 

Conveyances must be renewed annually. 

You will receive a notification via email for records which are eligible for renewal with instructions on renewal.
