The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) emphasizes local awareness and ensures that all businesses and organizations which store hazardous materials have emergency plans to assist emergency responders.
A shelter is a safe location to stay temporarily in the event of an emergency or disaster. When such shelters are opened, they'll be announced on social media, local radio, television broadcasts and Denvergov.org.
