2022 Event Facility reservation requests will be accepted beginning Monday, November 1, 2021. Please review frequently asked questions: 

What is available for reservation on Monday, Nov. 1?

Our reservation site has changed! We highly recommend logging in to familiarize yourself, and review online reservation instructions prior to November 1. 

What is the process on November 1?

  • Reservation requests will be accepted beginning at 8:00 a.m. (mountain time)
  • Reservation requests are NOT accepted by email at any time and no paper application is available to complete. 
    Read and download online reservation instructions. You are encouraged to set up an online account prior to November 1
  • Reservation requests are processed on a first come, first served basis
  • A $210 nonrefundable deposit to secure your reservation will be due at the time of application 
  • Once your reservation request has been reviewed, you will be contacted by Friday, November 5 with a confirmation or rejection 

How old must someone be to submit an application?

All permit applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Special Notes

  • You must be 18 or older to reserve an Event Facility
  • Only one permit per day is allowed
  • City Park Pavilion may be reserved
    April 15 – October 15 from 2:00pm – 11:00pm, 7 days a week
  • Washington Park Boathouse may be reserved
    April 15 – October 15
    Monday – Saturday: 7:00am – 11:00pm
    Sunday: 2:00pm – 11:00pm
  • Cheesman Park Pavilion is a Special Occasion site, not an Event Facility. Find information on a Special Occasion park permits.

Permit Requirements

The following requirements must be met no later than 21 calendar days prior to your event date

  1. All fees paid in full

  2. Proof of insurance coverage

  3. Permit holder must complete an in-person walkthrough with an Event Facilitator (instructions below)

    If selling alcohol: Liquor Liability is required and a Special Event Liquor Permit must be acquired from Denver Dept of Excise and Licenses

Event Facility Regulations

  • $210 (or 50% of the fee if total fee is less than $210) is due at the time of reservation and is non-refundable
  • All fees outside of the deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made 22 days or more prior to the permit start date
  • No refunds will be issued for cancelations made 21 days or less prior to the permit start date

Applications ARE NOT accepted by email at any time and NO paper application is available to complete. All reservation requests are accepted online or in-person only and must be submitted at least 30 days in advance.

Tours & Walk-throughs

Facility Tours

Free, guided one-hour tours are available for parties who wish to see the interior of an event facility and ask additional questions before submitting a reservation application. Registered tour attendees are invited to bring one guest. View instructions on how to schedule a tour.(PDF, 323KB)

Facility Walk-throughs

A one-hour walk-through with a DPR Event Facilitator is required to obtain your approved Event Facility Permit. The walk-through will cover day-of event logistics. Permit holders are strongly encouraged to bring any vendors, family or friends who will play a role in your event. Tour and walk-through schedules are updated on the 25th of each month.
Walk-throughs do NOT need to be scheduled earlier than 60 days prior to your event date.
