Denver's Vision Zero Statistics & Real-Time Tracking

We use the dashboard below to ensure that safety work is focused on the areas where it is most needed. We call these areas our High Injury Network. They represent the most dangerous streets and intersections that have disproportionately high rates of traffic crashes or serious bodily injury.

Using crash maps to show past problems, Vision Zero focuses on trends and patterns to proactively identify likely, future problem areas. We then determine and implement the right strategies tailored to the area to prevent severe crashes before they happen. We also use this information to identify other areas in the city with similar street design features and proactively implement these solutions citywide.

there have been 55 traffic deaths in Denver in 2024.

How We’re Creating Safer Streets

From planning to designing to building we are rethinking how people use our city’s streets. We are rebuilding streets to achieve Complete Streets: an approach to planning, designing, building, operating, and maintaining streets that enables safe access for all people who need to use them, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit riders of all ages and abilities.
