The GIVE Center provides support with:

  • Food access
  • Colorado vital document vouchers, including:
    • Identification
    • Birth certificates
    • Death certificates
  • Hygiene items
  • Diapers (Baby / Adult)
  • Resource navigation

Our team serves as liaisons between our customers and community partners. We provide emergency goods and services with a trauma-informed, person-centered, and holistic approach.

Referrals are strongly encouraged. To get started with our virtual customer service process, you must be a:

  • Caseworker
  • Community partner, or
  • Someone who identifies as homebound

How can I get help?

To start our virtual customer service process, you must be a:

  • Caseworker
  • Community Partner, or
  • Someone who identifies as homebound

What items can I get at the GIVE Center?

At the GIVE Center, we can connect you to:

  • Personal hygiene items
  • Diapers (baby / adult) and wipes
  • Menstrual products
  • Colorado vital document vouchers and fee waiver support
  • The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) Food Boxes
  • Pet Food (Dog & Cat)

What other services and resources do you provide?

Our resource navigators connect customers to community-based resources and partner referrals, including:

  • Prescription eye glasses vouchers through New Eyes for the Needy
  • A Precious Child 

How can I donate and what's needed?

There are several ways to make a donation and support our GIVE Center. Learn how to "Be A Giver" and donate to various causes, like our seasonal community drives, through Denver Human Services.

What if I have an emergency?

If you have an emergency and need immediate support from the DHS Give Center: you can visit us for walk-up services at the Denver Human Services Welcome Center (2929 W. 10th Ave., Denver, CO 80204). It's across the street from our old location at the Richard T. Castro Denver Human Services building.

Emergency walk-up hours

Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Fridays: Virtual services with curbside pickup only. Se habla español.

Important: the GIVE Center closes early (at 2:30 p.m.) on the third Wednesday of every month.

Non-Emergency Requests and Services

All other non-urgent services (vouchers for vital documents, ID waivers, etc.) should be done through our virtual customer service process. You must be a caseworker, community partner, or someone who identifies as homebound.

Language Access

It is your right to access oral or written language assistance, sign language interpretation, real-time captioning via CART, or disability-related accommodations. To request any of these services at no cost to you, please email DHSADASupport@denvergov.org with three business days’ notice.
