Park & Event Facility Permits
Due to public and private gathering limitations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic:
New applications are being accepted by permit type – please see webpages linked below for specific information and requirements for each type of permit, including new maximum participant capacities and other restrictions due to COVID-19.

• As of 4/16/2021: A revised public health order moves Denver to Level Blue for the next 30 days, and will be evaluated for possible extension closer to the expiration date. Based on vaccinations, case rates, variants, hospitalizations and fatalities, Denver finds it necessary to maintain some capacity and distancing requirements for both indoor and outdoor settings while certain restrictions continue to relax. Denver park picnic sites are ideal for family occasions, picnics, or community gatherings. Permits are required to reserve a site.
A public assembly permit is required for gatherings of 50 or more people, and for exclusive use of a site.
More than 100 athletic fields are available for a variety of uses including tennis, basketball, softball, soccer, football, and more.
There are 6 Event Facilities available for rental including the Central Park Pavilion, Chief Hosa Lodge and the Washington Park Boathouse.
Public Events include festivals, races, concerts & admission-based events in parks. Special Occasions are private, invitation events in parks.
