Seasonal Programs

LeafDrop

LeafDrop is a seasonal program offered by Denver Recycles that turns leaves into compost. The final compost product is made available at a discounted price to Denver residents at the Mulch Giveaway & Compost Sale each May.

Recycle Your Holiday Lights

Do you have broken, burned-out or impossibly tangled sets of holiday lights stored away with last year’s holiday decorations?
Don’t throw them out – recycle them for free instead!

Treecycle

Treecycle is a seasonal program offered by Denver Recycles that turns discarded Christmas trees into mulch after the holiday season. Free Treecycle mulch is made available to Denver residents at the Mulch Giveaway and Compost Sale in May.

GrassCycle

GrassCycling is the practice of leaving grass clippings on your lawn when mowing, instead of bagging them. It’s the natural way to recycle grass clippings and provide your lawn with the valuable nutrients and water that it needs.

Mulch Giveaway & Compost Sale

The Mulch Giveaway & Compost Sale provides a great opportunity for Denver residents to save money on landscaping and to keep recycled materials utilized locally. Denver residents may pick up free mulch and buy compost at a reduced price.
