Shall there be a change to the Colorado constitution recognizing the right to abortion, and, in connection therewith, prohibiting the state and local governments from denying, impeding, or discriminating against the exercise of that right, allowing abortion to be a covered service under health insurance plans for Colorado state and local government employees and for enrollees in state and local governmental insurance programs?

Important Dates

October 9

  • Logic and Accuracy Test - elections equipment is publicly tested and accuracy is verified. 
  • Ballots mailed out this week. All 24-hour ballot drop-off boxes open.

October 14

  • 22-day residency requirement by which you must prove you live in Colorado in order to vote in the Election.
  • McNichols Civic Center Building Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC) opens.

October 21

  • Phase One VSPCs open.

October 28

  • Phase Two VSPCs open.
  • Last day to return your voted ballot via USPS and ensure its arrival by Election Day.
  • Last day to register to vote and receive a ballot by mail (though you can do so at a VSPC).

November 1

  • Phase Three VSPCs open.

November 4

  • Phase Four VSPCs open.

November 5

  • ☆ Election Day ☆: Last Day to Vote. ☆ All ballots must be received, in a drop box, or be in line to vote in person at a VSPC by 7:00 p.m. Initial election results begin posting at 7:00 p.m.
