What is Denver Days?

Mayor Michael B. Hancock envisioned a city where neighbors not only knew their neighbors but as a result felt safer and more connected to the communities they call home.

Eight years ago the Mayor turned that vision into reality by creating Denver Days, a program during the first week of August that encourages neighbors to get to know their fellow neighbors by hosting block parties, picnics, and service projects with the focus on small, organic gatherings.

The 2020 Denver Days events will take place August 1st-9th.

Denver Days 2020, Re-Imagined

For every night of the first week of August, Denver Days will be hosting parades in each of the 11 council districts. Each night, from 6-8 PM (and 12-4 PM on both Sundays) we will be featuring local musicians, artists, and celebrating the unique culture of Denver's neighborhoods. We encourage you and your housemates to open your windows, get out on your balconies, front porches, and lawns and watch as the parade passes by.

These plans are in an effort to keep every Denver resident safe and healthy, which is our priority always, so the City of Denver will not be issuing permits for road closures, providing free barricades, or encouraging public gatherings in parks for Denver Days 2020.
