With the Delta variant surging, Denver has issued new public health orders requiring pre-K through 12th-grade students to wear masks at school and requiring city employees and some private-sector workers in high-risk settings to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The archives stored at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library provide a look into the vast contributions of the African American community in the West. Located in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, the library collects photographs, manuscripts, letters, oral histories and even the entire collection of Manual High School yearbooks.
“To be a part of something this unique in this part of the country is just an honor because there’s so much rich history here,” said Charleszine “Terry” Nelson, Blair-Caldwell's special collection and community resource manager.
