There are two methods to check the status of your plan review:

  • using the robust e-permits system, or
  • using the log number search function on this page.

In e-permits,you can view all permits associated with an address, see review status, download the final approved plans (if plans were submitted electronically), pay permit fees, schedule inspections, check inspection results, and more.

Both methods will display a list of all reviewing disciplines, which may be more reviews than what your project requires. Your specific building permit is ready when each discipline involved in the review of your plans has been marked “approved.” Please note if a review is marked “separate submittal required,” this must be submitted and approved before the building permit can be issued.

Explore e-permits

  1. Enter the e-permits system and select the Development Services tab. You do not need to set up an account to check the status of permits or inspections, but you do to download attachments.
  2. Search using a record number or an address.
  3. Under record info find plan review details under processing status, inspection results under inspections, and approved plans under attachments.

Search by record number

Enter your record number below to check the status of your reviews. You should have received your log number when you submitted your application and building plans.

Numbers must be entered in the following format: Year issued – the word “LOG” for building permits (“ZONE” for zoning permits, “SUDP” for SUDP permits, or “FIRE” for fire permits) – and the seven-character record number.

Review Notes

Note: If a Sewer Use and Drainage (SUDP) permit is required, the SUDP must be shown to the Building Department in order to have the Wastewater status updated on this page. Review status and submittal requirements for the SUDP (separate permit and submittal) can be found on our development services site.
