Restaurant - Temporary

A retail food establishment, other than a licensed mobile retail food establishment or pushcart, that is not intended to be permanent and that operates at a fixed location for a period of time of not more than fourteen (14) consecutive days in conjunction with a single event or celebration

A temporary restaurant license is required when a restaurant plans to participate in a fair or event by way of a temporary booth. 

How to Get a Business License

  • Sole proprietor
  • Partnership
  • Corporation or Limited Liability Corporation (LLC)

  • Department of Environmental Health Menu Review Form (obtain the form and approval from Environmental Health before applying for license)
  • List of all events in which the applicant will participate during the year

 

Pursuant to city ordinance, if a restaurant is going to participate in a fundraising event for a nonprofit and all of the proceeds are being donated to the nonprofit, the fee for the license will be waived.  The applicant must bring in a document that verifies the name of the nonprofit organization and verifies that all proceeds are being donated to the nonprofit.

 

    NOTE:  Additional events may be added during the year the by filing an addendum to the original application and paying the additional event fees. The annual Temporary Restaurant LIcense may only be used on the event dates provided in the appication or addendum.

Application Fee:  No application fee is required for a temporary restaurant license.

License Fee:  $100.00 plus $10.00 per day for the first five days of each event 

 

Fees can be paid with cash, check,  money order or credit card.  Checks should be made payable to Manager of Finance. 

 Your license will be issued when the following actions are taken: 
  1. All documents required for the license are complete and submitted to the office
  2. Fees are paid in full
