Managed Print Services is now managed by Technology Services.

Effective November 2014, our MPS vendor, Lewan and Associates will be invoicing City agencies for the Managed Print Services Program for the time period of October 1, 2014 to October 31, 2014, and will continue to bill agencies on a monthly basis. 

What you should anticipate:

  • You should see new monthly rates for Xerox devices that originate from Lewan and Associates
  • You should see new monthly B/W and Color rates that are charged for the use of Xerox copiers and single-function printers.
  • You/each end user agency should receive two separate invoices:
    • One invoice for Xerox copier(s) monthly lease rate plus their respective usage.  
    • One invoice for single-function printer monthly usage.
MPS is a cost-saving office printing program that will provide additional printing features to you, such as:
 
  • Follow Me Printing: Send your print job to the “Follow Me” print que and pick it up from any multi-functional device in the City and County of Denver by swiping your employee ID, or entering your employee number to release the job.
  • Scan documents to editable Word, Excel or PDF format
  • Toner auto-refill: Toner shipped automatically as toner gets low in the printer or copier

Centralized Multi-Function Device Acquistion and Strategic Placement

  • Program purpose: To increase efficiency of day-to-day operations for the City and County of Denver by maximizing utilization of multi-functional printing devices, standardizing printing equipment and reducing the use of stand alone printers/fax machines. These efforts result in: operational cost-savings, energy savings and reduction of hardware/software to maintain.

  • We provide to our client agencies with the ordering process, data analysis, strategic placement and installation of each multi-function copier based on the client agency's needs.

Recommended Scanners
The logic is to optimize the use of the (MFD) Multi-function device scanner ability (such as: Xerox, Konica Minolta and Toshiba brand MFD) to scan document at agency level.

Approval for dedicated scanner can only be given under the following conditions:

  1. The Central Scanning facility cannot accomodate agency document digitalization requirements.

  2. Due to document size and paper type, an MFD cannot be used to properly scan the document.

  3. Agency client facing business model require cleint documents to be scanned immediately at site.
     

Please consult with the CITY CENTRAL SERVICES AND RECORD MANAGEMENT prior to submitting a Scanner Justification Form to request a scanner purchase.

RECOMMENDED SCANNER MODELS AS DENVER SCANNER STANDARD
 
In accordance to the thorough review of the scanning needs (daily duty cycle) of Denver agencies, the following

models of scanners are recommended as a standard for agencies to adhere to.
