Park(ing) Day 2019

On September 20, DPW and representatives from Denver City Council transformed three downtown parking spaces at 15th Street & Court Place into outdoor meeting spaces and areas to inform passersby about city programs and services. It was a huge success!

Denver Public Health & Environment Kicks Off Program Monitoring Schools’ Air Quality

Sensors from the Love My Air program are now tracking outdoor air quality on the schools’ campuses, with the goal of helping those schools make healthier choices for their students. This is important because children are more susceptible to poor air quality, including decreased lung function and missed days of school. Now, for the first time, parents, teachers, and administrators can monitor air pollution, in real-time, on campus each day.
