Denver Offers Financial Aid to Restaurants

The City and County of Denver is continuing to support local businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic by making financial support available to restaurants and bars that participated in Denver’s Temporary Outdoor Dining Program. With $435,000 in funding recently received from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Denver has created a new assistance fund to provide grants to restaurant and bar owners for incurred costs from creating new or expanded outdoor seating areas due to indoor capacity limits and social distancing requirements.

Neighborhood COVID-19 Testing Sites Show Increase in COVID-19 Testing Rates Among Underserved Populations

The city transitioned from the Pepsi Center mass testing site on October 1, to more focused, community-based testing to better serve historically underserved communities. To date, two fixed testing sites at Paco Sanchez Park and Montbello Recreation Center have been opened, supported by multiple other pop-up and mobile testing events.

Public Health Order Update

The Denver Department of Public Health & Environment (DDPHE) today adopted the public and private gathering limits in the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) PHO 20-35 (issued on October 23, 2020), which are limited to no more than 10 individuals from no more than 2 households when not otherwise regulated as a specific sector or activity in Section III of PHO 20-35.

State Moves Denver Back to Level 3 Restrictions

At a critical moment in this pandemic, the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) has moved the City and County of Denver, among other counties, to the more restrictive Safer at Home Dial Level 3.
