Most City and County of Denver offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 17 in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday.
Due to the holiday, the Mayor’s Office, City Council offices, Clerk and Recorder’s Office, Auditor’s Office and most city agencies will be closed. Partner entities such as Denver Health will remain open Monday, Feb. 17, as will agencies that operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, such as Denver International Airport. Sworn members of the Denver Sheriff, Police and Fire departments and other emergency responders will report for duty Monday, Feb. 17 as well.

3-1-1, the city’s information line for non-emergency services will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. Service requests may be submitted via mobile device using Pocketgov or online at denvergov.org/denver311. Updates are available continuously on www.denvergov.org. Programming continues on Denver 8 TV. The Denver Animal Shelter will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17. Animal Protection Officers will be available to respond to emergencies as requested by the Denver Police Department.
The Auditor’s Office will be closed Monday, Feb. 17.
Building and Zoning permit counters will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. No building inspections will be scheduled for those days.
All Denver City Council offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 17 in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday. The regular Monday meeting of Denver City Council will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 18. Council committee meetings will take place at their regular times the week of Feb. 17.
Golf courses will be open on Monday, Feb. 17, weather permitting.
The Office of the Clerk and Recorder – including marriage licensing, the Public Trustee, Records, and Recording – will be closed Monday, Feb. 17.
The Denver County Court will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. The Denver County Court will not be hosting an Outreach Court session at the Denver Rescue Mission on Monday, Feb. 17 due to the holiday. All state-operated courts, including the Denver District Court, Juvenile Court and Probate Court located in the City and County Building, will be closed.
All properties managed by Denver Arts & Venues, including Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre, the Denver Performing Arts Complex, Colorado Convention Center and Denver Coliseum, will be open for scheduled events and performances. Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre, Visitor Center, Trading Post, and Ship Rock Grille will be open to visitors during regular hours. McNichols Civic Center Building will be closed Monday, Feb. 17.
The five Denver County Motor Vehicle office locations will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. For vehicle renewal online, visit the Denver Motor Vehicle website or mydmv.colorado.gov.
All Denver Human Services locations will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. However, child and adult protection emergency response teams and telephone hotlines will be taking and responding to reports. To report suspected child abuse or neglect call 1-844-CO-4-KIDS (1-844-264-5437) from anywhere in Colorado. To report elder abuse for an adult 70 years and older or the abuse, neglect or exploitation of an adult with an intellectual or developmental disability, call the Denver Police Department at 720-913-2000. For all other adult protection calls, please call 720-944-4DHS (4347).
The Denver Elections Division will be closed Monday, Feb. 17.
Excise and Licenses’ customer service counters and offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 17.
All Denver Public Library locations will be closed on Monday, Feb. 17 in observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday. Many of the library's resources remain available when the buildings are closed. For more information, visit www.denverlibrary.org.
The Office of Human Resources Talent Acquisition Testing Center will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. Applicants will still be able to search and apply for open positions at www.denvergov.org/jobs. The Talent Acquisition front desk will also be closed Monday, Feb. 17. New Hire Onboarding assistance and I-9 verification will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The Office of the Medical Examiner (Coroner) will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. Office staff will be available to respond to emergencies.
Parking meters are free on Sundays and on recognized city holidays and will be free Monday, Feb. 17. Drivers are reminded to observe the time restrictions posted and to follow all normal parking regulations all other days.
The Parking Business Center and the Parking Magistrate’s office will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. Parking violations may be disputed online at www.parksmartdenver.com – the citation number printed on the ticket is required. Payment may also be made by any of the following options:
Public Works permit counters and the Right Of Way Enforcement office will be closed Monday, Feb. 17.
All Recreation Centers will be open Monday, Feb. 17.
The Taxpayer Service Center will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. For questions about property, business or other tax obligations, or to pay taxes online, visit the Taxpayer Services website.
Trash, recycling and composting will not be collected on Monday, Feb. 17. Collection will be delayed one day the remainder of the week.
The Vehicle Impound Facility, 5160 York St., will be closed Monday, Feb. 17.
The Wastewater Management Building, 2000 W. 3rd Ave., will be closed Monday, Feb. 17.
All Denver Workforce Centers will be closed Monday, Feb. 17. The city’s online hiring system will be available at www.denvergov.org/jobs.
