Fire Systems Technical Specialist (Electrician)

Opens: Monday, April 11, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. MDT.
Closes: Monday, April 25, 2016, at 5:00 p.m. MDT.

In order to test for the position of Fire Systems Technical Specialist (Electrician), Denver Fire Department, an application must be completed on-line. Upon successful completion of your application, details will be given concerning submitting iFORMs and further documentation of your experience and education. iFORMs and supporting documentation all need to be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016.

Qualifications

  • Age: Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age on or before the date of application.

  • Education/Experience: In addition to a high school diploma or a certificate equivalent to a high school diploma (GED), an applicant must have a minimum of four (4) years of work experience in the electrical field, must hold a current State of Colorado Journeyman Electrician License, and must be able to design and read electrical schematics/blueprints. A copy of the Colorado Journeyman’s Electrician License will be required at the time the application is submitted.

  • Residency: All individuals must reside within the state of Colorado at the time of appointment.

In addition to the Age, Education/Experience and residency requirements noted above, applicants must also meet all of the Minimum Qualifications for Original Appointment as outlined in the Fire Systems Technical Specialist (Electrician) Examination Informational Booklet.

iFORMs and supporting documentation all need to be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016.
