Certificate Renewals

All certificate types must be renewed every three years. Expiration dates appear on each certificate.

Documents needed: Please upload/submit a current form of identification (state or military photo ID, passport, temporary/permanent resident card, employment authorization card with photo, etc.) with your renewal application.

For 30 days before your certificate expires, you can renew online.

  1. Register for a free, online account.
  2. If this is your first time renewing online, email the following information to Contr.licensing@denvergov.org:
    • Name and email address associated with your online account
    • Certificate number
  3. Contractor Licensing will link your certificate to your online account within 24 hours.
  4. After 24 hours, return to your account and use the "Contractor Licensing" functions to renew your certificate.
