Anyone may submit written comments and/or speak in person on any items that come before the Denver Planning Board. The board reviews items according to criteria that varies depending on what the item is.
Members of the public may address Planning Board members at board meetings. Speakers are limited to three minutes. One speaker may cede his or her time to another speaker for a total of six minutes.
The sequence for most cases reviewed by the Planning Board is as follows:
Planning Board comment window #1: Once the date of a public hearing has been set, all comments submitted by 5 p.m. 9 days before the hearing are included in the staff report distributed to Planning Board members.
Planning Board comment window #2: After the staff report deadline, comments may be submitted until noon on the day of the hearing.
Comments for Land Use, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee (LUTI) Review: City Council's LUTI Committee meets Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Comments submitted by noon on the Thursday before the meeting will be included in the staff report presented to committee members.
Comments for City Council public hearings: City Council meets every Monday at 5:30 p.m. Comments submitted by noon on the Thursday before the meeting will be included in the staff report presented to council members. After that deadline, comments may be emailed to email@example.com until 3 p.m. the day of the hearing.
