A Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. local time on August 27, 2015, in Conference Room 4.F.6 Webb Building, 201 West Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO  80202.  Interested firms are encouraged to attend.  Proposers are responsible for any information conveyed at this meeting.

Printed Responses are due at 10:00 a.m. local time, September 16, 2015 delivered to Public Works Finance and Administration, Attn:  Debby Gibson, 201 W. Colfax, Ste. 614, Denver, CO  80202.

General Statement of Work:  The City and County of Denver Public Works Department is seeking General Contractors to provide On-call, as needed services performing construction work on municipal buildings, including remodeling, retrofitting, and renovation projects.  The City anticipates awarding multiple contracts to multiple general contractors.

Cost Estimate:  The cumulative cost of all construction performed under this contract shall not exceed $5,000,000 per contract during the Three (3) year term of the Contract. The City expects to award multiple contracts.

Minority and Women Business Enterprise Participation:  The Project goal of 18% must be met with certified participants as set forth in Section 28-60(b).  Certain contracts let by means of a competitive process require proposers to address the project goal by means of a compliance plan.

Prequalification Requirements: Each bidder must be prequalified in 2A Building at the $3,000,000.00   monetary level in accordance with the City’s Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors.  Each bidder must have submitted a prequalification application a minimum of ten (10) calendar days prior to the bid opening date.  Applications must be submitted to the Department of Public Works, Prequalification Section, 201 West Colfax Avenue, Department 506, Denver, Colorado 80202.  To view the Rules and Regulations and to obtain a prequalification application, please visit our website at or call 720-865-2539 for prequalification information ONLY.

Prevailing Wage Requirements:  Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C.

General:  As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of Public Works (“Executive Director” and “Manager” have the same meaning) reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, proposals.
